After many rounds played and thousands of votes cast by our many friends, this year's Music Madness Tournament (unlike its real-life counterpart) has managed to deliver a final game that was highly competitive.
So competitive, in fact, that when to polls closed last night, the two opponents had the exact same number of votes!
The polling software we use automatically selected a random winner, but we have elected to go with a solution that was a bit more scientific.
To break the tie, we have decided to go back and tabulate the total number of votes each band received in all rounds, and add those scores together to determine a winner. this process favored one band over the other, by just 6 votes!
